About Diwali (Festival of Light):
Diwali is the Indian festival of light and prosperity. It is celebrated with great joy by Indians all over the world. It is a festival of joy, brightness and happiness and is one of the most important and vibrant festivals for Indians. At the metaphysical level, Diwali is a festival signifying the victory of good over evil. Diwali celebrations take place everywhere in India at dusk, when darkness unfolds with spectacular illuminations of tiny flickering lamps adorning homes, buildings and streets. These illuminations and fireworks, the joy and festivity, signify the victory of divine forces over those of wickedness.
