About this event
The annual celebration of Diwali signifies Irish relations with the communities celebrating the festival of lights in Ireland. It marks the victory of good over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance. Over 1.3 billion people celebrate Diwali in India alone. Diwali is also an official holiday in India, Fiji, Guyana, Malaysia, Mauritius, Myanmar, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Suriname, and many other nations.

Attendees must Adhere Following COVID-19 related rules protocols all the time:
Please do not attend the event if you have any symptoms or feel unwell.
Please provide proof of vaccination or recovery from COVID-19 within the last six months to the Ireland India Council at rsvp@irelandindiacouncil.ie; otherwise, we are not in a position to permit any guest to attend the event.
Co-operate with all instructions and house rules. i.e. wear a face covering at all times in the venue. Adhere to the queue/entry system, and Please do not touch microphones and avoid sharing pens, etc.
Adhere to the ‘no hand shaking’ policy at all times.
Adhere to the ‘Walk on the Left’ protocol for access/egress routes.
Please do not congregate in groups outside the City Hall pre and post-event.
Keep your personal belongings with you at all times during the event.
What can I bring to the event?
An electronic or paper ticket is required for every person attending, including children. Please do not bring backpacks or oversized items.
Glass or cans, alcohol, and any weapon will not be permitted.
Admission:
The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone under the influence of alcohol.
Photography:
Professional photographers need to inform the organiser, and they need to take care of General Data Protection Regulation-GDPR at the Diwali Celebration.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
No, it is not transferable as COVID-19 related restrictions are person-specific.
